How to choose a good day trip

  1. Compare what's included, not just the price. A cheaper trip without lunch, gear or island fees can end up costing more.
  2. Ask how many islands you visit and whether the natural pool is included.
  3. Check the boat. Life jackets for everyone should be standard.
  4. Ask about group size. Smaller groups mean more time in the water and less waiting.
  5. Read real reviews from recent travellers.
  6. Book with a local team you can reach on WhatsApp, so you can ask questions before and during the trip.

Is a day trip worth it?

Yes, if you have only one free day in Panama City. You get several hours of swimming, snorkelling and island time in one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. The trade-off is the early start and around six or seven hours of travel in total. If you can, one night on an island or a sailboat makes the trip much more relaxed: you see the islands after the day boats leave, at sunset and sunrise.
